Dinosaur Game ’s visual design is as simple as it gets — black and white pixels against a gray desert background. Yet, that’s exactly what makes it iconic.

Sebastien Gabriel, the visual designer, explained that the retro 8-bit look was inspired by early computer graphics and pixel art. The dinosaur’s name, “Project Bolan,” is a playful nod to Marc Bolan, the lead singer of the 1970s glam rock band T. Rex.

From its spiky cacti to the flapping wings of pterodactyls, every detail is minimal yet instantly recognizable. The simplicity ensures smooth performance on all devices — even low-power ones — and gives the game its timeless, nostalgic charm.
